Wanted - a Mojo that stays put!!!!! any reasonable offer considered

Well I went to yesterday's crop very excited as I had photographs, papers and enough stash to sink a battleship! only problem, I had lost my mojo! I tried and tried to get going without it and just as all felt lost I found it after I had had a cup of coffee. I proceeded to finish a layout I made with one of my favourite pictures of the boys and I then went on to do another LO of them. It was at this point I realised that my poor mojo had taken legs and disappeared again. Trouble was it got worse as every time I looked at the layouts I had done I realised that something just wasn't right and I was not a happy bunny. With 45 mins left till "home time" I began to feel despaired, even eating a star bar didn't help - things were bad. There was no way I was packing up early to go home on my day off from "mummy or house duties" so I resigned myself to starting a layout of Peter which I just copied exactly from the inside cover of the HOTP book - now where is the satisfaction in that????
However all was not lost as after I got the boys to bed and had finished my chinese takeaway I decided to have one more go at salvaging something out of the first layout I had made at the crop. I used the same papers in the same way but added and removed elements and I am delighted with the result!! Don't know where on earth my mojo had been hiding but I am so glad that it came back when it did!!!
Here is a picture of the reformed layout - didn't take a pic of 1st attempt as I didn't think to!

I used Junkits papers and downloaded and altered the journaling from digital scrapbook place before printing on to acetate. I cut the hearts from chipboard using the primitive hearts sizzix die, I then inked and embossed with two layers of UTEE and rubbed in silver metallic rubons. I applied a layer of diamond glaze on top to seal the silver. I applied red pepper and slate coloured Tim Holtz alcohol inks on to a piece of Mica which i then cut to size , this was then stamped with 100% the word "cute" was cut using the George Cricut cartridge.

Haven't started to overhaul the second layout yet, I'm going to try later on this evening so watch this space!

Andrew and Lady

It's half past 10 and I have finally managed to organise myself for tomorrow's crop. Mind you judging by the weight of my tote and the extra boxes that spontaneously seem to appear at the last minute you would think I was going away for a weekend retreat!! It's so hard deciding what to take and what to leave behind!
Whilst sorting through my photos I was delighted to find a photograph that I have been looking for since last year, it's a picture of Andrew when he was 6 months old and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel "Lady" that we had until a few years ago. Not sure if I will get time to scrap it tomorrow but thought I'd post the pic on my blog in the meantime.

P.s. Think it's time I got more photos of my youngest son Peter on my blog - poor guy has hardly had a mention! oops

Where does two weeks go?

Good grief I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I last blogged - where does time go?
In the last fortnight I've organised a treasure hunt for a Sunday School picnic, gone to the picnic and worked practically full time. On my "days off" it's been the usual boring housework chores that have filled my days. My in laws have bought a new residential caravan at Cullen (NE coast of Scotland on route to Inverness) and we have decided to take on their old one at Grantown On Spey as we really love this site, it's 15 miles from Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands. Going shopping next week to buy all the things we need for it such as crockery, bedding etc.
I am going to a crop tomorrow organised by twins that I work with so looking forward to that. Unusually for me I am totally unorganised and haven't a clue what I will make never mind packing all my stuff!
Hopefully I'll have some LOs to post to my blog tomorrow!

Decision made!

Thank you to all those who left me comments here on my blog or at the design collective forum regarding my dilema. Everyone prefered my original colour layout so that's the one I'm going to stick with. I have deleted the sepia one from the design collective gallery as I didn't want to clutter up their site, this did however mean that the feedback left with that LO got deleted too, so thanks again to those who helped me in my choice - much appreciated!!
Been working today so I'm looking forward to a bottle of Fosters Twist and my chinese meal. Not scrapping OR tidying the mess my craft room is still in after making LO on Wednesday, going to chill out in front of tv. We've got a Sunday School picnic tomorrow so hopefully I'll get some good photos there to scrap and post on my blog. The weather has been quite warm and dry so fingers crossed it stays - you never can tell in NE Scotland!!
