The LO also doubles up as the Scrummy Stash Cafe current challenge too as I thought their sketch was great.
Papers used are from the Dasher collection by Basic Grey. The acrylic flourish stamps are by Artemio. Buttons, ribbon etc from my stash collection. The twill is recycled from Art From The Heart packaging!
After receiving this beautifully presented gift from my friend Kerry on the 23rd I decided at the last minute on Christmas Eve to make 8 jars to give to members of my family on Christmas Day.
It was very hard to track down the jars locally as I think my friend had already cleared the shop's shelves! however I did manage to get from another shop and also survived Tesco on Christmas Eve to get the ingredients.
The stamps I used on the jar top and the tags are a mixture of Art Warehouse by Danelle Johnson and Creative Cafe, all purchased from Just Need It
The ingredients per jar are approximately:
4 heaped tablespoons of dark chocolate chips
8 heaped tablespoons of powdered milk
4 heaped tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa
4 heaped tablespoons of Cafe Mate
3 heaped tablespoons of golden granulated sugar

I made this house for a crop challenge to make a Christmas decoration. I was surprised but absolutely thrilled to win first prize too, especially as all the other entries were fantastic.
The house is a blank wooden house from Art From The Heart and the papers used are by Love Elsie, the paint is a cranberry Adirondack paint dabber. It was hard deciding the papers to use, infact the house was painted three times before I decided on non traditional Christmas colours of pink and brown! I went with those colours and papers in the end as they just call out sweeties to me!!
I used icicles from a Tesco tree decoration for around the roof which I attached with DST and then decorated with snow writer and glitter. I cut hearts using the Sizzix primitive hearts die shape and attached in rows. These were then sprayed lightly with adhesive and sprinkled with fine glitter. The window frames were made with chipboard and the paint was crackled to give an aged effect. The door frame was attached with a paper hinge and the bricks around it were painted in pink and glittered too. The brick shapes are the waste chipboard pieces left from cutting the picket fence, again using a Sizzix die. I placed the house on a cake board which I covered in paper and decorated with buttons and paper trees.

I've still to upload the few pages of Shimelle's JYC that I have managed to do and also some other projects I've been working on. I need more hours in a day that or the ability to freeze time!!

Last year I signed up for Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class but in true "me" fashion all I managed to do was print out the prompts! oh and of course file them beautifully. LOL
HOWEVER this year I am more organised and have all my papers and cardstock ready to take part. I have also bought an album specifically for this year and plan to make it similar to the one that Emma made here.
The papers I will be using are the Be Merry collection from My Mind's Eye and also the Holiday Cheer collection by Bo Bunny.
I really hope that I can manage to keep up with most of the prompts from Shimelle as not only do I love the whole atmosphere that surrounds Christmas but there is also so much important family traditions, old and new as well as wonderful memories that I want to record all together in one album that can be shared with my family.
Having four sisters and one brother I am sure you can imagine the wonderful stories and memories that I share with them. I want to record these as well as the more recent memories and traditions that I have started with my two boys.

I am not happy with all the photographs in the minibook as there is a weird metallic finish on the dark spots on some photos, I reprinted quite a few on Canon paper however some photos are still not right. If anyone knows what is causing this then any help is appreciated. It is most annoying when it happens on eyes as it gives a very evil look!!
Materials used are 7Gypsies blank book and their Nottinghill paper. Stamps are by Creative Cafe and Art Warehouse.
